Markets
FXNewsBias scores the 8 major currencies, 15 forex pairs and gold (XAU/USD) from the headlines every 3 hours. Markets are the instruments beyond forex, read with the same method and the same thresholds. Gold is the first, and more markets are planned.
What a market read is
A market read works the same way as a forex pair read. Every 3 hours we score the latest headlines that touch the instrument on a scale from 0 to 100, where 50 is neutral. That score is then compared with the score of the currency the market is priced in, from the same cycle. For gold that is the US dollar: when gold sentiment runs more than 10 points ahead of the dollar the XAU/USD read is Bullish, more than 10 points behind is Bearish, and anything in between is Neutral.
Markets sit beside the currencies, not inside them. They never change the 8 currency scores, the 15 pair reads or the forex scorecard. Free visitors see each market's pair label one 3-hour cycle delayed. Pro members see the live score, the drivers behind it, the session calls for Asia, London and New York, the history and API access.
